www.lintol.com

lintol is an organisation created by young architects to serve as a politically neutral, non-prescriptive and non-elitist support network for all those working in the field of architecture.

lintol.com is a genuinely interactive community web site for architecture. Users who register on the site for free can create their own micro-websites within lintol.com by completing simple on-line templates. These templates can be added to or modified at will and enable connection with other lintol users for mentoring, cpd and other forms of creative collaboration.

The majority of Architects' Practices in Scotland operate as sole practitioners who struggle to keep pace with burgeoning technical and legislative development. lintol is gradually creating an educational network that assists in the provision of CPD for architects (a mandatory requirement for retention of chartership). By aggregating need between isolated practitioners, CPD opportunities currently enjoyed by larger practices can be extended to local groups of small practices.

lintol organises and promotes cpd events to the architectural community and allows users to add their own events to the on-line "lpd events" diary by completing on-line templates. Users can also contribute short articles to the viewpoint section or debate postings in the forum to raise awareness on topical issues.
