glasgowbridge

In November 2003, a winner was chosen for the competition to design a bridge over the River Clyde in Glasgow. Following the award, the 6 shortlisted entries were exibited within The Lighthouse, Scotland's Centre for Architecture, Design and the City.

This exhibition not only stimulated public debate on the competition, but also resulted in a wonderful collection of "public designs" being submitted (from kids to professional architects!), as "alternatives" to the chosen bridge.
